The Federal Drug Administration has approved the use of Viagra, an injectable drug used to treat erectile dysfunction, for a few more years after the Food and Drug Administration last year approved it to sell in the United States for up to $5,000 a month.
According to a report from theNew York Times, the drug will now be available over the counter in the United States by the end of this year.
While some doctors are convinced it is safe for them to prescribe Viagra over the counter, others are not. The FDA is reviewing the agency’s decision and the details of the approval process, and will make a decision within a few weeks.
